I just want to say something about the use of sheets on a bed. They play an important role! They protect your blankets and quilts from body oils! If you are blessed to own a quilt and have it on your bed you need to do all you can to preserve it for years to come! A quilt should be washed only once or twice a year! If you don't have the sheet in between the quilt gets smelly and dirty and has to be washed!
Actually, I fold down the quilt at night and use a blanket and sheet(still protecting the blanket as well!) so that it stays nice and looks nice when we make the bed...which of course is pretty much daily! :?)
